The night sky is breathtaking here. There is no (light)polution at all and we are on quiet high altitude. There are millions of dimands sparkeling in the dark. The milkyway is crossing the scene as a broad, white band. I lay down and get the feeling to look right into the infinite galaxy.
It's the low temperature that makes me stand up and go back into the cosy warmth in the tipi.
Next morning I make a hike up the steep, wooded hill that rises behind the camp. There is a great view over the taiga valley, two lakes and all the reindeers grazing allover the place and the small, white culoured tipi's. I find a lot of blueberries, they make a great snack.
Back in the camp we go reindeer-riding. A funny experience. We find out that the animals not only are very curious but also very stubborn.
The last evening we sit with the members of our hostfamilies and the 2 horsemen together to share a bottle of Vodka. We sing songs and laugh together. For once the languagebarrier is irrelevant.
I really feel sorry to leave these people and this place. I easily could pass here a week! Fortunately we won't be back to civilication within a few hours. We have 2 nice days of horsbackriding ahead and than still 2 days by bumpy vanriding :-)
